Tap - Enclosure
Maintenance crew may swiftly seal taps with an off-the-shelf Tap Enclosure product.
Available in three styles:
Domed Split bolted
Domed Welded
Domed Split weld on
The Split Bolted Tap Enclosure is designed to ASME Section VIII and API 6H/6X; the Welded Tap-Enclosure, and Split Welded Tap Enclosure are designed to ASME Section VIII specifications. Fittings are designed based on customer specifications.
Buna-N packing is standard on the Split Bolted style. Viton, Silicone, Kevlar and other materials are available upon request. Standard body materials:
– ASTM A106 Gr. C seamless pipe
– ASTM A516 Gr. 70 steel plate
– ASTM A234 Gr. WPB Standard bolting is:
– ASTM A193 Gr. B7 with A194 Gr. 2H nuts.
Options:
– Vents to allow sealant injection & pressure release
– Marine epoxy paint for corrosion protection.
